The invention relates to the field of pseudo-classic buildings, and particularly discloses a pseudo-classic building roof and a construction method thereof.The pseudo-classic building roof comprises a plurality of bearing beams, a plurality of bearing square columns fixed to the bearing beams and inclined relative to the horizontal plane, a plurality of plate tiles arranged on the bearing square columns and cover tiles arranged at the top ends of the bearing square columns; the two sliding grooves in the length direction of the bearing square column are formed in the bearing square column, an operator only needs to stand at the top end of the bearing square column, the plate tile is placed between the two bearing square columns, the sliding part on the plate tile is clamped into the sliding grooves of the two adjacent bearing square columns, and therefore the plate tile can slide downwards to the bottom end of the bearing square column along the plate tile; and finally, the cover tile is laid at the top end of the bearing square column, so that tile laying of the roof can be achieved, movement of an operator on the roof is reduced, the risk of the operator during tile laying is reduced, and meanwhile, due to the fact that the tile laying process is simple and convenient, a green hand can also conduct rapid laying.
