The invention discloses an assembly type supporting system of a superposed cantilever spiral steel structure and a construction method. The supporting system comprises a plurality of inner ring stand columns, a plurality of outer ring stand columns and a plurality of transverse connecting structures. The inner ring stand columns are arranged at intervals along a ring to form an inner ring support. A plurality of outer ring stand columns are arranged at intervals along the other ring to form an outer ring support; in a horizontal projection plane, the area of the inner ring support is smaller than that of the outer ring support, the inner ring support and the outer ring support partially coincide, the height value of the inner ring support is larger than that of the outer ring support, the transverse connecting structures are matched to connect the inner ring support and the outer ring support into a whole, and the transverse connecting structures are integrally arranged in a spiral shape. The supporting system replaces a lattice type jig frame supporting system to support the overhanging steel structure, the needed operation space is reduced, joint conversion is facilitated, and the precision of the overlapped overhanging spiral steel structure obtained through installation of the supporting system is higher.
