The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing and grinding coal gasification coarse slag and carbide slag to obtain first mixed dry powder; mixing and stirring deionized water and the mixed dry powder to obtain mixed slurry, performing standard curing on the mixed slurry, and crushing to obtain a first aggregate pre-finished product; screening the first aggregate pre-finished product to obtain a second aggregate pre-finished product; and performing hydrothermal curing on the second aggregate pre-finished product to obtain a wave-absorbing aggregate finished product. The aggregate prepared by the preparation method has relatively good strength and wave-absorbing performance.
