A dimming device includes a sheet unit including a dimming sheet, and a control unit that controls application of a voltage to the sheet unit. The processing performed by the control unit includes: controlling the interlayer of the transparent electrode to a first voltage, thereby bringing the dimming sheet into a first state in which visible light is reflected; controlling the transparent electrode interlayer to a second voltage, thereby bringing the dimming sheet into a second state in which visible light is scattered; and controlling the voltage between the transparent electrode layers to a third voltage, thereby bringing the dimming sheet into a third state in which visible light is transmitted.
调光装置具有具备调光片的片单元、以及对向片单元的电压的施加进行控制的控制部。控制部所执行的处理中包括:将透明电极层间控制为第一电压,由此使调光片成为反射可见光的第一状态;将透明电极层间控制为第二电压,由此使调光片成为使可见光散射的第二状态;以及将透明电极层间控制为第三电压,由此使调光片成为使可见光透射的第三状态。
