The invention discloses a drainage device for hydraulic engineering, and relates to the technical field of hydraulic engineering equipment, the drainage device comprises a drainage channel, one end of the drainage channel is provided with a water inlet, the other end of the drainage channel is provided with a water outlet, the drainage channel is further communicated with a diversion channel, and a diversion door is arranged between the drainage channel and the diversion channel; the drainage channel is provided with a flow sensing assembly, the flow sensing assembly comprises a water wheel and a connecting shaft, the water wheel is fixedly connected with the connecting shaft, the axial direction of the connecting shaft is perpendicular to the flow direction of water in the drainage channel, and only the lower half portion of the water wheel is arranged in water flow in the drainage channel. The flow sensing assembly is connected with a transmission assembly; according to the drainage device, the structure can be changed for drainage at the moment when water flow is sensed, then drainage can be conducted instantly under the condition of instant large flow, branch overload is avoided, and therefore the drainage effect is improved.
