A modular wall system comprising: a floor slab (201) mounted to a floor slab; a plurality of stackable modular wallboards (202, 203, 203 ') placed on the floor slab (201) to form a wall body; a plurality of interlocking tubes; a tie rod base (206) mounted to the floor; and at least one column module placed on the tie rod base (206) to form a column assembly (205), each stackable modular wall panel (202, 203, 203 ') having a plurality of hollow portions for receiving or inserting at least one interlocking tube (204) in a vertical or horizontal plane, and having a plurality of holes for receiving or inserting at least one interlocking tube in a vertical plane, the column assembly has a tie rod junction box for forming an interlock with the modular wall panel (202, 203, 203 ') through a horizontal hollow portion with an interlock tube position in a horizontal plane, and another tie rod positions the interlock tube in the horizontal plane such that the modular wall panel (202, 203, 203') can be mounted to the column assembly to form a modular wall system.
