The invention discloses a heat insulation board positioning tool and method, a heat insulation wallboard and a building. The heat insulation board positioning tool comprises a rack; the upper end of the main drill rod is fixed on the rack, and the main drill rod is used as a positioning base body of the mesh cage; the upper end of the auxiliary drill rod is fixed on the rack and overhangs downwards to provide a first positioning mode or a second positioning mode; according to the first positioning mode, the heat preservation plate is clamped between the auxiliary drill rods, between the auxiliary drill rods and the main drill rod or between part of the auxiliary drill rods and the rest of the auxiliary drill rods and the main drill rod so that positioning of the heat preservation plate can be achieved. In the second positioning mode, the main drill rod provides contact positioning with the heat preservation plate, part or all of the auxiliary drill rods provide insertion positioning for the heat preservation plate, and if part of the auxiliary drill rods provide insertion positioning for the heat preservation plate, the remaining auxiliary drill rods provide contact positioning for the heat preservation plate.
