The invention relates to an asphalt pavement patching material as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The asphalt pavement patching material is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 430 to 470 parts of dead burned magnesium oxide, 135 to 170 parts of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, 210 to 220 parts of fly ash, 40 to 45 parts of silica fume, 40 to 50 parts of borax, 30 to 40 parts of sodium tripolyphosphate, 1000 to 1200 parts of quartz sand, 1 to 130 parts of emulsified asphalt, 110 to 150 parts of water and 70 to 90 parts of temperature-sensitive shape memory material. The asphalt pavement repairing material has proper setting time and flowability, can quickly repair a complex pavement, has good expansibility, has deformation performance similar to that of an old asphalt pavement, and can form a stable integrated structure with the old asphalt pavement area. In addition, the asphalt pavement patching material is good in rainwater erosion resistance and long in service life.
