The invention discloses a method for judging the maximum scouring/silting flow level of a runoff riverbed. The method comprises the following steps that inlet and outlet control hydrometric stations of a research river reach are selected respectively, and the inlet water flow, the inlet sediment transport amount and the outlet sediment transport amount of the research river reach every day are obtained; the average inlet water flow QWm-in, the average inlet sediment transport QSm-in and the average inlet water flow QWm-in of each inlet control hydrometric station in every m days are calculated; the sum of the average inlet sediment transport QSm-in of all the inlet control hydrometric stations in a certain time period and the sum of the average outlet sediment transport QSm-out of all the outlet control hydrometric stations in the corresponding time period are subtracted; and performing Pettit test on an order sequence formed by the scouring/silting intensity QSm of each time period and the corresponding flow level, and determining the maximum scouring flow level or the maximum silting flow level. According to the method, the flow level range of the scour/deposition of the researched river reach and the maximum scour/deposition flow level can be rapidly obtained, and the method has the advantages of being small in data collection difficulty and rapid and visual in judgment method.
