The invention relates to the field of building materials, in particular to a high-strength low-carbon building block mortar material and a preparation method thereof.The high-strength low-carbon building block mortar material is prepared from low-heat cement, steel slag powder, quartz sand, water and a water reducing agent. The preparation method of the high-strength low-carbon building block mortar material comprises the following steps: pouring and molding mixed slurry obtained by mixing raw materials to obtain slurry A; curing the slurry A in a dry curing chamber, and removing the mold; transferring the demolded slurry A into an air dry oven for drying and curing; transferring the dried slurry A into a carbonization kettle for CO2 carbonization maintenance to obtain carbonized slurry B; and transferring the obtained carbonized slurry B into a standard curing box to obtain a high-strength low-carbon mortar product C, namely the high-strength low-carbon building block mortar material. According to the preparation method of the high-strength low-carbon building block mortar material, a green low-carbon environment-friendly building material is prepared; the prepared high-strength low-carbon building block mortar material can permanently fix carbon and reduce CO2 emission.
