The invention relates to the technical field of inorganic non-metallic materials, in particular to gel-casting low-dielectric-loss aluminum oxide ceramic and a preparation method thereof.The method comprises the following steps that 1, pulping and ball milling are conducted, specifically, a monomer, a cross-linking agent and a composite dispersing agent are taken and added into deionized water, uniform stirring is conducted, and a premixed solution is obtained, adding high-purity nano activated alumina powder, stirring to obtain slurry, adding the slurry and grinding balls into a ball milling tank, and carrying out ball milling to obtain slurry for injection molding; (2) gel injection molding; 3) drying and dehydrating; (4) preprocessing; 5) discharging glue and sintering; and (6) post-processing. Compared with the method for preparing the low-dielectric-loss aluminum oxide ceramic by adopting hot isostatic pressing and spark plasma sintering technologies, the method disclosed by the invention is relatively low in cost, simpler in process and better in controllability.
