A noise reduction plugging device and method for power equipment are used for plugging a gap between a reserved hole of a sound insulation structure and a protrusion, and the device comprises an elastic part wrapping the surface of the protrusion on the outer side of the reserved hole; the number of the splicing units is at least two, and the splicing units are mutually combined to form a hole for accommodating the elastic piece and seal the gap; the splicing units are fixed with the sound insulation structure; the elastic piece is fixed with the bulge or the splicing unit; the elastic pieces and the splicing units are made of sound insulation and/or sound absorption materials. By means of the damping performance of the elastic pieces, the sealing performance between the splicing units and the protrusions can be guaranteed, and the noise reduction efficiency can be guaranteed; the gap between the preformed hole and the protruding object is plugged through the splicing units in a splicing mode, and rapid disassembly and assembly can be achieved. The elastic pieces and the splicing units are made of sound insulation and/or sound absorption materials, and the sound insulation requirement is met while the gaps are blocked.
