The invention discloses a ballast railway track laying method based on a turnout approaching area. The ballast railway track laying method comprises the following steps that S1, sleepers are laid on a track laying line with bottom ballasts at equal intervals manually in cooperation with a sleeper scattering tool; s2, the steel rail transport vehicle travels to a designated position, and the steel rail is pushed to a tractor through a steel rail pushing vehicle; s3, when the tractor drags the steel rails, the steel rail pushing trolley provides power, and the steel rails are controlled to move along the laying line; s4, after traction of one pair of steel rails is completed, the steel rails and the sleepers are pre-fixed, and the next pair of steel rails are continuously laid; s5, the step S2 to the step S4 are repeated till the tractor drives into the area close to the steel rail turnout; s6, the tractor is driven out in the direction perpendicular to the track laying line; and S7, the guiding tool is manually operated, power is output through a steel rail pushing trolley, and the remaining steel rails are pushed to move along the laying line.
