The invention relates to the technical field of drainage structures, and discloses a rainwater hopper and a greenbelt system.The rainwater hopper comprises a rainwater well, a rainwater drainage structure, a rainwater drainage structure and a rainwater drainage structure, the rainwater well is internally provided with a cavity, the bottom of the cavity is suitable for being communicated with a reservoir, and the outer side wall of the rainwater well abuts against a planting soil layer or a paving layer of a greenbelt body; the greenbelt body further comprises a drainage plate located below the planting soil layer or the pavement layer, a drainage opening is formed in the area, corresponding to the drainage plate, of the side wall of the catch basin in a locally penetrating mode, and accumulated water on the drainage plate is suitable for entering the catch basin through the drainage opening. According to the rainwater hopper provided by the invention, the water drainage opening is formed in the position, corresponding to the water drainage plate, of the side wall of the rainwater well, so that accumulated water on the water drainage plate is drained into the reservoir through the water drainage opening and the rainwater well, and therefore the accumulated water on the water drainage plate below the planting soil layer or the pavement layer of the greenbelt body is effectively drained and treated.
