The invention discloses an air water taking device and method suitable for a photovoltaic power station in a desert environment. The air water taking device comprises a box body, and the interior of the box body can be divided into a water vapor condensation collection area and a water taking evaporation area; a sun shield of the water vapor condensation and collection area is located outside the box body, cooling fins are located on the inner side of the sun shield, and gaps for air circulation are formed between the cooling fins and the sun shield. The hydrophobic coatings are located on the inner sides of the cooling fins, and heat insulation partition plates are arranged on the inner sides of the cooling fins. The heat conduction fins of the water taking evaporation area are located in the box body, a moisture adsorbent is arranged between every two heat conduction fins, the heat conduction fins are connected with a micro heat pipe, and the micro heat pipe extends out of the box body; and a solar cell panel is mounted at the outer end part of the micro heat pipe. On the basis of an existing photovoltaic power station, heat produced by a photovoltaic panel serves as an energy source, the photovoltaic panel in the desert area can be cooled, the power generation efficiency is improved, low-cost water taking from air can be achieved, and desert greening is facilitated.
