The invention provides an artificial aggregate as well as a preparation method and application thereof, and relates to the technical field of concrete. The artificial aggregate provided by the invention is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 10 to 15 percent of concrete residue powder, 10 to 15 percent of cement, 40 to 45 percent of concrete residue fine sand, 5 to 10 percent of adhesive, 5 to 10 percent of exciting agent and 20 to 25 percent of water. Fine sand in concrete residues is used as a main skeleton structure of the aggregate, so that waste is directly changed into a main component of a product, consumption of the concrete waste is promoted, and waste of resources is reduced; compared with aggregate prepared from pure concrete waste residues, the compressive strength of the artificial aggregate provided by the invention can be remarkably enhanced; meanwhile, an exciting agent is added into the concrete residue powder, so that the activity of the concrete residue powder can be excited, and the compressive strength of the artificial aggregate is further improved.
