The invention discloses a nano modified shrinkage reducing agent as well as a preparation method and application thereof, and belongs to the technical field of building material concrete admixtures. The nano modified shrinkage reducing agent is prepared from the following components in parts by mass: 40 parts of sodium hydroxide, 20 to 60 parts of anionic polyacrylamide, 120 parts of acrylic acid, 0.16 part of a cross-linking agent, 0.8 part of an initiator, 10 to 40 parts of a thermosensitive temperature control agent, 60 to 100 parts of sepiolite and 10 to 40 parts of a thermal buffering agent. The nano modified shrinkage reducing agent is added into the high-strength large-volume concrete, and has the main function of curing the interior of the high-strength large-volume concrete in a curing stage and avoiding shrinkage and cracking of a matrix. Meanwhile, the nano modified shrinkage reducing agent has a certain capability of adjusting temperature. Besides, the nano-modified shrinkage reducing agent also has certain strength, can replace part of fine aggregate, and avoids adverse effects such as strength reduction and the like caused by holes left due to the collapse of the water-absorbent resin when the mass concrete is in the age or after the curing is finished.
