A segmented damper for a hardware hinge comprises an oil cylinder, the interior of the oil cylinder is hollow to form an oil cavity, a piston is installed in the oil cavity and divides the oil cavity into a rod cavity and a rodless cavity which are relatively independent, a damping hole is formed in the piston, the damping hole penetrates through the upper end face and the lower end face of the piston, and the rod cavity and the rodless cavity are communicated. The upper end face of the piston is further provided with a damping adjusting device which is in butt joint with the damping hole, and the flow area or the flow path of the damping hole is changed so as to change the damping when the piston moves. In the initial stage of closing the door, damping oil flows smoothly, small damping force is provided, at the tail end of closing the door, as the piston assembly gets close to the isolation piece, the isolation piece seals and covers the damping hole and the oil guide groove or seals and covers the adjusting hole, the flowing path of the damping oil is prolonged, or the flowing area of the damping oil is reduced, and therefore the flowing resistance of the damping oil is increased.
