According to a transverse adjusting unit of the device, two expansion supporting plates are arranged below a bearing table, a two-way lead screw and a transverse guide rod are arranged in the bearing table, a first motor driving shaft is connected with the two-way lead screw, and each expansion supporting plate is provided with two guide blocks which are connected with the two-way lead screw and the transverse guide rod respectively; stand columns of the longitudinal adjusting unit are arranged below an expansion supporting plate, a longitudinal lead screw and a longitudinal guide rod are arranged in the two stand columns respectively, a second motor is fixed in the stand columns, a driving shaft is connected with the longitudinal lead screw, supporting blocks in the two stand columns are arranged on the longitudinal lead screw and the longitudinal guide rod in a sleeving mode, and the two ends of a supporting sleeve are fixed to the supporting blocks and the expansion supporting plate respectively. A tamping block of the tamping unit is connected with the driving end of a driving unit fixed to the center of the bearing table. The tamping method comprises the steps of displacement, expansion matching, height adjustment and tamping operation. The device has the advantages of being simple in structure, convenient to move and adjust and high in adaptability.
