An embodiment of the present invention relates to a construction machine and a control method thereof, the construction machine comprising: an engine that generates power; a pump driven by the engine; an engine control unit that detects an air intake amount of the engine; a control lever that transmits an operation signal; and a vehicle control unit that, upon receiving the operation signal from the control lever, receives the intake air amount detected by the engine control unit, and when the intake air amount is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, changes the increase speed of the pump torque of the pump upward.
本发明的实施例涉及一种工程机械及其控制方法，工程机械包括：发动机，其产生动力；泵，其由所述发动机驱动；发动机控制单元，其检测所述发动机的进气量；控制杆，其传递操作信号；以及车辆控制单元，其在从所述控制杆接收操作信号时，经接收所述发动机控制单元检测的进气量，当所述进气量为规定以上时，向上变更所述泵的泵扭矩的上升速度。
