The control method of the refrigerator includes the steps of: in response to receiving a user input from a first switch, driving a motor in a positive direction until a first push rod reaches a maximum advance position of the first push rod; executing at least one of an operation of stopping the motor and an operation of driving the motor in a reverse direction at a first reference driving speed before a predetermined waiting time elapses from when the first push rod reaches a maximum forward position of the first push rod; driving the motor in the opposite direction at a second reference driving speed until the first push rod returns to the neutral position of the first push rod after a predetermined waiting time has elapsed since the first push rod reaches the maximum forward position of the first push rod; the predetermined latency is changed in response to receiving a user input from the second switch during driving the motor in the positive direction until the first pushrod reaches a maximum advanced position of the first pushrod from a neutral position of the first pushrod.
