The invention relates to an antique black brick based on purple clay and solid waste blending and a preparation method thereof. The antique black brick comprises the following raw materials: purple clay, coal gangue or fly ash and water. The preparation method comprises the following steps: aging and weathering the purple clay; weighing purple clay, coal gangue or fly ash, and uniformly stirring and mixing to obtain a mixed coarse material; crushing and sieving the mixed coarse material to obtain a mixed fine material; weighing water, adding the water into the mixed fine material, uniformly stirring to obtain a mixed raw material, warehousing the mixed raw material, and aging; carrying out dry pressing molding on the mixed raw material to obtain a wet green brick; drying the wet green brick to obtain a dry green brick; and firing the dry brick blank at the highest firing temperature of 960 DEG C to obtain the finished antique black brick. The purple clay and the solid waste resources are utilized, so that the problem of solid waste disposal can be solved, green upgrading of the traditional purple clay industry can be promoted, meanwhile, the solid waste resources are driven to be recycled, worries after development of the energy industry are solved, and complementary linkage between industries in a region is achieved.
