The invention provides a stepless limiter of a side opening tail door and a vehicle, and the stepless limiter comprises an outer sheath assembly and an inner sheath; wherein the inner sheath is inserted into the outer sheath assembly from the first end of the outer sheath assembly, and can slide relative to the outer sheath assembly; at least one guide block is arranged on the outer wall of one end, inserted into the outer sheath assembly, of the inner sheath; an axial guide groove corresponding to the guide block and at least two annularly arranged locking grooves are formed in the inner wall of the outer sheath assembly, and a first limiting surface adjacent to the axial guide groove is arranged on at least one groove wall of the locking grooves; and under the condition that the guide block reaches the locking groove, the guide block is switched between the unlocking position and the locking position by rotating the outer sheath assembly. The telescopic length of the limitless limiter can be changed, and the limitless limiter is more stable and smoother to stretch out and draw back; and by arranging the locking groove, the limitless limiter has multiple lockable telescopic lengths, and the convenience and safety of taking articles when the tail door is small in opening degree are greatly improved.
