Method for densifying fibrous structure by injecting slurry
The invention relates to a method for densifying a fibrous structure made of a ceramic material for use in an injection apparatus comprising:-a mold cavity defined between a mold and a counter-mold, the mold cavity defining an internal space; and-a membrane comprising a reinforcement zone to be placed between the fibrous structure in the mold cavity and the counter mold, the reinforcement zone of the membrane having a Young's modulus greater than 200 GPa, the method comprising:-placing (110) a pre-densified fibrous structure in the mold cavity, the pre-densified fibrous structure having corrugations on the surface, and placing the membrane on the pre-densified fibrous structure such that the reinforcement regions of the membrane are in contact with the peaks of the corrugations of the pre-densified fibrous structure; closing (120) the injection apparatus by placing a counter mold on the membrane and applying a pressing pressure (Ppressing) to the membrane to maintain the reinforcing regions of the membrane in contact with the peaks of the corrugations of the pre-densified fibrous structure; and densifying (130) the pre-densified fibrous structure by infiltrating a slurry into the pores of the pre-densified fibrous structure, the slurry being injected into the mold cavity laterally with respect to the membrane under an injection pressure (Pinjection) such that the pressure difference between the pressing pressure and the injection pressure is between 0.5 x105 Pa and 6 x105 Pa.
