The invention provides a modified A-grade fireproof thermal insulation material. The modified A-grade fireproof thermal insulation material is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 20-70 parts of inorganic microbeads, 15-40 parts of a cementing material, 30-50 parts of water, 1-8 parts of inorganic whiskers, 8-25 parts of aluminum dihydrogen phosphate, 20-35 parts of inorganic nanoparticles, 2-12 parts of inorganic fibers and 20-50 parts of inorganic aerogel powder. The preparation method of the modified A-grade fireproof thermal insulation material comprises the following steps: 1.1) uniformly stirring and mixing; and 1.2) carrying out mold box compression molding or rolling molding on the mixed slurry, then curing, and then maintaining. Due to the addition of modified materials such as the inorganic nano particles and the inorganic aerogel powder, the combustion performance reaches grade-A fireproof performance, the thermal insulation performance is not obviously reduced, the standard requirement is met, and the heat conductivity coefficient is 0.023-0.050 W/(m.K); the inorganic whisker and the inorganic fiber are both reinforcing materials, so that the strength, the hardness, the tensile strength, the compression resistance, the bending resistance, the durability and the like are obviously improved.
