The invention belongs to the field of old bridge dismantling construction, and particularly discloses an inland river navigation channel old bridge underwater main pier mechanical dismantling method which comprises the steps that upper structures of old bridge underwater main piers are hoisted and dismantled, then lower structures of the old bridge underwater main piers are broken and dismantled, and only cast-in-place piles are reserved and not dismantled; a foundation pit is excavated around the cast-in-place pile, the cast-in-place pile outside the foundation pit is cut off, the cut-off pile is carried away in a hoisting mode, and meanwhile the cast-in-place pile inside the foundation pit is reserved in the channel; and the channel with the reserved cast-in-place piles is checked and accepted according to the channel bottom elevation, and the foundation pit is recovered after the channel is checked and accepted to be qualified. The underwater main pier is dismantled through a mechanical breaking method, a continuous steel sheet pile cofferdam does not need to be arranged on the periphery of the main pier, the construction time can be effectively shortened, occupation of a navigation channel is reduced, and the method is suitable for the special conditions that the navigation channel of an inland river is not suitable for being occupied for a long time.
