The invention discloses a post-cast strip construction method based on a protection groove. The protection groove comprises a bottom plate, side plates and reserved steel bars. Two parallel side plates are arranged at the top of the bottom plate, and concrete blocking in the structural concrete pouring process is completed through the side plates; the reserved steel bars penetrate through the two side plates, and clearance spaces are formed between the reserved steel bars and the bottom plate and serve as sediment grooves; the post-cast strip construction method comprises the steps that before a protection groove is installed, sinking treatment is conducted in a post-cast strip installation area according to the width of the protection groove, then construction of a structure leveling layer, a waterproof layer and a protection layer is completed in sequence, then the protection groove is installed, and all reserved steel bars are connected with steel bars in structure concrete; and after reserved steel bar connection is completed, structural concrete pouring construction is conducted, when structural concrete reaches the preset strength, a protective cover plate is installed at the top end of the protective groove, and the post-cast strip is closed, the protective cover plate is taken away and moved away, and concrete pouring is adopted till the tops of the side plates are flush.
