The method comprises the steps that the target number of first water pumps is determined, and the first water pump distribution number of each water supply branch is determined according to the target number and the total length ratio of water pipes between the water supply branches of the water supply station; acquiring historical water consumption data of each user, and determining estimated water consumption of each user in different time periods based on the historical water consumption data; and for each time period, the total estimated water consumption is calculated, the working states of the second water pump and the third water pump are adjusted, and the working state of the first water pump is adjusted according to the water consumption ratio of the remote user in the current time period. According to the embodiment of the specification, the working state of each water pump is dynamically adjusted according to specific water demands in different time periods, normal water supply is ensured, meanwhile, long-time working of all the water pumps is avoided, and energy consumption is reduced.
