Method for producing auxiliary cementitious material
The invention relates to a method for producing an auxiliary cementitious material, comprising the steps of: nodulizing a raw material of the auxiliary cementitious material to produce nodules having an average particle size of 1 to 500 mm; and calcining the nodules, wherein the calcining is performed by passing a gas at a temperature in the range of 400 to 800 DEG C through the bed of nodules without entraining the nodules in the gas. The invention further relates to a method for producing a cement comprising ground cement clinker and an auxiliary cementitious material, the auxiliary cementitious material being produced by the method according to the invention, and the ground cement clinker being produced by a clinkering process, the clinkering process comprising a calcining step and a subsequent step of grinding a limestone-based raw material.
