The invention provides a climbing structure for a building machine and a mounting method thereof, the structure comprises an upper climbing seat, a lower climbing seat, a first hydraulic cylinder and a plurality of groups of fixing mechanisms, the fixing mechanisms are fixed on a building body, suspension assemblies are arranged on the fixing mechanisms, and the upper climbing seat and the lower climbing seat are suspended and fixed on the fixing mechanisms through the suspension assemblies; the upper climbing seat and the lower climbing seat are distributed up and down, the driving end and the fixed end of the first hydraulic cylinder are fixedly connected with the upper climbing seat and the lower climbing seat correspondingly, the first hydraulic cylinder drives the upper climbing seat and the lower climbing seat to ascend alternately, and after the upper climbing seat or/and the lower climbing seat is/are in place, locking and fixing are conducted through the locking assembly. The invention further provides a mounting method of the climbing structure for the building machine. The climbing system is formed by combining the upper climbing base, the lower climbing base, the hydraulic cylinder and the fixing base, the structure is simple, installation is convenient, meanwhile, a self-locking structure is additionally arranged, the building machine can be rapidly self-locked and fixed after climbing to the designated position, and the structural stability is improved.
