A vibrating screen for screening aggregate and/or soil. The vibrating screen comprises a body (1), a chute-shaped fixed screen plate (6) fixed to the body (1) by its opposite ends. The fixed screen plate comprises fixed screen flat steel (8) forming a first screen groove (8a) therebetween, and the fixed screen flat steel has a curved shape corresponding to the shape of the fixed screen plate (6). The vibrating screen further comprises a chute-shaped vibrating screen plate (7) which is supported on the body through an eccentric shaft (2). The vibrating screen plate (7) is arranged to vibrate by machine power by rotating the eccentric shafts (2) synchronously with each other such that when the eccentric shafts (2) rotate, each point of the screen plate (6, 7) is continuously rotationally moved along a circular path in the same rotational direction. The vibrating screen plate (7) comprises vibrating flat steel (9) forming a second screen groove (7a) therebetween, the curved shape of the vibrating flat steel corresponding to the chute shape of the vibrating screen plate. The vibrating flat steel (9) is located in the first screen trough (8a), and the screen plates (6, 7) are positioned relative to each other at a height level such that, within a cycle, the vibrating flat steel (9) rises, one after the other and at different times, above the screen surface formed by the upper edge of the fixed screen flat steel (8) at different sections of the fixed screen plate (6).
