The invention discloses a composite cofferdam structure on a soft soil foundation in a river channel, which comprises a first cofferdam body on an upstream face and a second cofferdam body on a downstream face, a groove is formed between the first cofferdam body and the second cofferdam body, a sheet-pile wall is arranged in the groove, plain soil is backfilled on two sides of the sheet-pile wall, anti-seepage clay is backfilled on the top of the sheet-pile wall, and the anti-seepage clay is filled in the groove. The sheet-pile wall comprises groove-shaped steel sheet piles driven in the width direction of the river channel, and inserting grooves are formed in the middles of the inner walls of the groove bottoms of the groove-shaped steel sheet piles in the vertical direction. The flat steel plates are tightly attached to the outer walls of the groove bottoms of the groove-shaped steel sheet piles, connecting plates extending towards the inserting grooves in the groove bottoms of the adjacent groove-shaped steel sheet piles are arranged at the two side ends of each flat steel plate, and locking openings matched with the inserting grooves are formed in the tail ends of the connecting plates; and the top plate is arranged at the tops of the groove-shaped steel sheet piles and the flat steel plates.
