The invention relates to the technical field of building engineering construction, and particularly discloses a building machine which comprises a lower hanging frame body, a jacking power system, a supporting system, an attachment system and a top platform system. The lower hanging frame body comprises an outer hanging frame body and an inner hanging frame body, the attachment system is fixedly arranged on a core tube shear wall, the supporting system is connected with the attachment system, the outer hanging frame body and the inner hanging frame body are arranged on the two sides of the core tube shear wall respectively, and the outer hanging frame body and the inner hanging frame body are both connected with the supporting system. The jacking power system is connected with the attachment system and can drive the inner hanging frame body to move in the vertical direction, the top platform system is arranged above a core tube shear wall and connected with the supporting system, and the outer hanging frame body and the inner hanging frame body are both connected with the top platform system. The invention further provides a construction method of the building machine. According to the invention, the construction area of each layer of structure can be segmented, so that the construction operation of each stage does not influence each other, and the construction efficiency can be effectively improved.
