The invention provides an automatic plugging device and method for a screw hole. The plugging device comprises a rack, and the rack is provided with a moving mechanism, a laser scanning recognition mechanism, a mortar injection mechanism, a sealant injection mechanism, a positioning alignment mechanism and a path recognition mechanism. The laser scanning recognition mechanism comprises a laser scanning recognition instrument, a rotating assembly and a scanning lifting assembly. The mortar injection mechanism comprises a mortar storage cabin, a mortar storage chamber, a mortar hose and a mortar injection and smearing device which are communicated in sequence; the sealant injection mechanism comprises a foaming placement cabin, a foam storage chamber, a foaming hose and a foaming injector; and the positioning alignment mechanism comprises two groups of horizontal longitudinal moving assemblies, horizontal transverse moving assemblies and positioning lifting assemblies. The operation efficiency of screw hole plugging is improved, the physical labor of constructors is reduced, the construction procedure is simplified, and the safety risk is reduced; the device is accurate in positioning, the filling amount of mortar can be automatically adjusted, and the plugging effect and the overall quality of a building structure are ensured.
