The invention relates to the technical field of bridge engineering, in particular to a single-column pier bridge anti-overturning reinforcing device and a construction method thereof.The reinforcing devices are installed between a steel cover beam and a cast-in-place beam box, the steel cover beam is installed at the top of a pier body, and the two sets of reinforcing devices are arranged and located on the two sides of the upper surface of the steel cover beam correspondingly; each group of reinforcing device comprises a support lower backing plate, a rubber support and a support upper padstone which are sequentially arranged from bottom to top; the support upper padstone comprises anchor bolts, a steel plate, a surrounding plate and a packing layer, the anchor bolts vertically penetrate through the four corners of the steel plate, the upper ends of the anchor bolts are fixedly inserted into the beam bottom of the cast-in-place beam box, and the outer side walls of the lower portions of the anchor bolts are in threaded connection with double nuts used for adjusting the position of the steel plate. The surrounding plates are arranged on the periphery between the beam bottom of the cast-in-place beam box and the steel plate in a surrounding mode, and the space defined by the beam bottom of the cast-in-place beam box, the steel plate and the surrounding plates is filled with the packing layer. The anti-overturning stability of the single-column pier bridge can be effectively enhanced, and construction is convenient.
