The invention provides a preparation method of boron nitride and aluminum nitride composite ceramic, and relates to the technical field of preparation of ceramic composite materials. The method comprises the following steps: dissolving aluminum isopropoxide in isopropanol, adding an aluminum salt and a citric acid aqueous solution, and adjusting the pH value to a proper range to prepare sol; then adding modified boron nitride into the sol, and ensuring uniform distribution of the modified boron nitride through ultrasonic dispersion treatment; then performing spray drying to obtain precursor powder; performing cold isostatic pressing on the precursor powder to obtain a cold-pressed blank; after presintering in an inert atmosphere, transferring into ammonia gas to carry out high-temperature nitridation reaction; and finally, carrying out pressureless sintering in an inert atmosphere to finally obtain the high-performance boron nitride and aluminum nitride composite ceramic. According to the method, the technological process is optimized, no extra sintering aid or complex treatment is needed, the uniformity and compactness of the material are remarkably improved, and the method has the advantages of being low in production cost and high in preparation efficiency.
