Eine Beschattungsvorrichtung weist ein Tuch, eine Tuchwelle und eine Ausfallstange auf, wobei das Tuch im Bereich einer ersten Tuchkante mit der Tuchwelle und im Bereich einer zweiten Tuchkante mit der Ausfallstange verbunden ist und wobei das Tuch bei einer Verlagerung der Ausfallstange relativ zu der Tuchwelle zumindest teilweise auf die Tuchwelle aufwickelbar oder von der Tuchwelle (19) abwickelbar und flächig aufspannbar ist. Dabei ist vorgesehen, dass das Tuch mindestens einen Draht aufweist, der zumindest bereichsweise aus einer Formgedächtnislegierung hergestellt ist.
