The motorised scissor assembly has an elongated housing (1) with a first longitudinal extension for the scissor assembly (7) and with a motorised drive on the inside of a second longitudinal extension. An engagement unit is longitudinally displaceable on a side opposite the attachment site of the scissors through a thread-less elongated shear rail which is coupled to the motorised drive. A nut longitudinally displaceable by a spindle rod is coupled to the drive. The drive has two synchronised elongated shear members. Two scissor-free sides of the housing are set close together so that the opposing end sides do not have the same width. Independent claim describes structural space for holding electric or electronic switch units and extends between one end of the electric drive unit with motor and gearing, and a rear side of a connecting terminal.
