The unit (1) has a hand wash basin (2) and at least one sanitary outlet fitting (3) with at least two separate outlet openings (4) for producing visibly separate outflowing water jets (5). The longitudinal axes of the outlet openings, which determine the outflow directions of the water jets, are arranged at an angle to each other so that the jets at least partly overlap or diverge in the region between the openings and the impact point in the basin to prevent water splash in the basin area. An independent claim is also included for a sanitary outlet unit.
