The function management system has a control unit (44) for controlling at least one function in dependence on the position of a corresponding operating element (46), with execution of a self-learning program during operation of the vehicle, in which the manually-controlled operation sequence of the operatiug element and the travel path intervals between the individual operations are stored. A repetition mode allows the stored operation sequence to be repeated at intervals corresponding to the stored travel path intervals, independent of the vehicle velocity.
