The opening device has a support (20) fixed inside the door and a handle (30) which is mounted movable on the support and can be actuated from outside the door. The handle has an attachment (33) which moves with same to open the lock. The attachment is aligned directly or indirectly with a shoulder (31) in the support and a force-sensitive sensor (40) is mounted between the attachment and shoulder so that when the handle is actuated and there is a change in force between shoulder and attachment the sensor sends signals onto an electronic evaluator and control unit (42,44) which opens the lock (12) by way of an electric motor (45). Apart from emergency use if the electronics fail the handle remains quasi stationary and only moves within the sensor path.
