The finisher (F) has a tractor (1) provided with a programmed or programmable control unit (C) and a set of mechanical auxiliary components. The components are selectively attached to the tractor. One of the mechanical auxiliary components is provided with a wireless-readable identification unit i.e. radio frequency identification (RFID) transponder, such that the tractor is provided with a read head for reading the identification unit, and the identification of the auxiliary component read by the read head is supplied to the control unit.
