The device has a presetting unit (1) comprising an adjusting device (2) i.e. rotary potentiometer, for selecting an operating mode, and a display panel (3) i.e. LED-display panel, for displaying the mode. A comparator (11) provides a track signal (FW) based on a reference value signal (SP) and an actual value signal (IP) corresponding to an actual position of a jalousie. A memory (6) stores memory value (MP) for the actual position of the jalousie in a special function range, and the presetting unit provides an activation signal to the memory during adjustment of the adjusting device.
