The method involves extruding a plate from a mixture of natural fibers and a polymer material, and slicing the upper surface of the plate. The slices are arranged one behind the other in the conveying direction and the slices are moved perpendicular to the conveying direction. The slice is moved transverse to the conveying direction around an irregular profiled surface structure produced at the upper surface. The slicing is controlled, such that multiple successively produced sheets have a different surface structure.
