The invention relates to a handle (1), especially a door handle of a motor vehicle, comprising a multi-component housing (2) and an electronic unit (6) arranged inside the housing (2). According to the invention, the housing (2) comprises a defined outer surface (7) to which a functional coating (10) is applied. Said functional coating (10) comprises at least two layers (11, 12, 13), including an information layer (11) printed (11) onto the handle, and a protective layer (12) arranged on said information layer, the information layer (11) being arranged between the outer surface (7) of the housing (2) and the protective layer (12).
