The rotor housing (8) has a bottom opened interior portion for receiving a milling rotor, which is formed by two side walls, a front wall and a rear wall. A cleaning device is arranged in the bottom opened interior portion. A cleaning strip is made of spring steel and movably arranged in the bottom opened interior portion. The punch or vibration is applied from the housing outside to the cleaning strip, through the passage opening. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) milling device; and (2) method for cleaning of rotor housing.
