The method involves burning away a material of a fine particle cover layer (30) and a cover coating (35) in micro slots (31) by a laser beam. The beam is applied on a two or three-layer sound-absorbing acoustic board (10) so that a waist of the beam is focused on a plane parallel to a lower side of the layer and the coating so that the slots are continuous through the layer and the coating. A funnel-like end is produced in an open-pored, middle chip board (20) so that surrounding is connected with the chip board by an air connection. The slots are partially penetrated into the chip board. The fine particle cover layer and the cover coating are made of wood, paper, veneer, plastic or metal such as aluminum. An independent claim is also included for a two or three-layer sound-absorbing board.
