The method involves forming a door cavity (50) defined by narrow front end (35) forming the side boundaries (44) and the door leaf broad sides (34,40) forming the plate elements (42). A projecting formation (58) is extended into the door cavity along the side boundary. The side surface (59) of the projecting formation is extended diagonally into the door cavity. The door cavity is filled with foam. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a door leaf frame; and (2) a door leaf.
