The drive (1) has a motor unit (5) arranged at a frame (3) and comprising a winding device for a pulling element (6) e.g. cable, that extends between the motor unit and a wing of a window. A spindle (8) stays in effective connection with a shaft (9) of a motor of a driving unit in an extension of the motor unit. An operating element (10) movable through rotation of the spindle along the extension is arranged on the spindle. The operating element acts together with a wedge member (11) for opening of the wing and pivots the wing from a closed layer, where the wedge member is fixed to the wing.
