    The cylinder (1) has a core (3) movable in a housing (2), and a closed channel (5) for introduction of an electronic key (6). An antenna (8) is arranged in the housing to receive electronic signals from the key, and an electronic check device (7) is arranged in the core for optional locking or releasing of the movement of the core as a function of the signals of the key. The antenna directly faces a transmission antenna (11) arranged in the core for contactless transmission of the signals of the key. A receive antenna (13) is arranged at the close channel immediately in the core.
